What to bring:
- A small blanket for your mat (we can provide some)
- Milk/food for your baby, if needed
- One of your baby’s favourite toys
You don’t need to bring a yoga mat, as there are some at the studio, but do feel free to bring your own if you’d like to. The main aim of the class is to make you and your baby feel relaxed, so if your baby needs to feed or sleep that’s absolutely fine.
Baby Sleep
Whether a 1:1 or group class, the approaches Nikkie takes are holistic and gentle, and any suggestions will be tailored to the needs of your family and clearly based on the things you’d like to change. There is no need to change anything you don’t want to and Nikkie will never suggest leaving your baby to cry alone. This is a supportive and nurturing service, designed to give you confidence in your parenting choices and to work with you and your baby respectfully.
Postnatal Yoga
A four-week course for mums, specially designed for postnatal recovery, suitable for all levels. Classes will explore calming and restorative breathing techniques, gentle yoga flows and held stretches, focusing on elements of yoga specific to the postnatal experience such as core strengthening, pelvic floor recovery and releasing tension in the shoulders and back. There’s time to ask questions about your specific situation and all classes end with relaxation.
